A short biography of Mary and Barbara

The story of the Faith Sisters is about their faith and their music that is a way of sharing God's Grace and Peace that only He can bring and of God's abiding love He has for each of us.

Mary learned at a young age about God and that Jesus was our link to heaven.  Her mother, although she had many mental illnesses, knew God too.  She read from the Bible almost every night when Mary was young and that is how Mary learned to read.

Life was interesting and full of difficulties, happy times, and sad times.  For example: their house burning down, a father who was gone most of the time, and having to live in foster homes when their mother was ill.  Only through God's grace was Mary saved through another fire later when she was eight years old.  She suffered 3rd degree burns that left her scarred and ostracized for many years.  Yet without any surgeries, and only her faith in the Lord, she triumphed and today has only a few scars that remind her of God's awesome grace.

Seeing life through incidents that most people never experience, Mary learned that our looks are only skin deep; how not to be fearful of things that are different from us; and that there will be many trials all through our lives.  Mary discovered when feeling alone, that God had not moved away from her but that she was the one who walked away from God.

Mary's sister, Barbara, remembers the two of them singing together as children.  About 8 years ago, the Lord brought the sisters together again as the Faith Sisters.  They began writing songs and started making appearances telling everyone about what the Lord had done in their lives.

In 2004, Barbara was diagnosed with stage four, terminal breast cancer.  In 2005, she was sent to hospice, three times to die.  During the last hospice, Barbara said the Lord gave her Psalms 118, verses 17-18.  At that moment, she knew she was not going to die.  She knew that the Lord had a purpose for everything.  By the grace of God, her cancer was gone.   Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!

A short biography of Cassie

I have been singing all my life and love to praise the Lord. I grew up knowing Christ; he has gotten me through a lot of tight spots in my life. My mother and aunt were the original Faith Sisters and I was blessed enough to be asked to join them. I love to sing and enjoy entertaining people. My mother and I are best friends as well as family and we make a good team. I very much enjoy our time together on stage as well as in personal life with her. I hope our music inspires you in some way.

A short biography of Debbie

I spent 25 years in the field of Law Enforcement and was one of the first female officers to break the mold to work the streets in uniformed patrol.  Over the years, I was afforded many opportunities working varying assignments that allowed me to work with a large and varying public.  As a Hostage Negotiator and instructor, I experienced the psychology of human behavior.  As an investigator, I felt the trauma and fear experienced by victims.  However, it took my own serious work injury followed by years of disappointments in my rehabilitation to experience the lessons I learned from God's grace.  It changed my life forever.  I was in a very dark place in my life, and it was this journey and what I learned that motivates me to tell everyone how he or she might make these lessons work for them.
