Ramirez II. This scholarship is named in honor of one of the
founding members of the Faith Sisters, Barbara Downing, who
moved on to heaven in 2008. Mr. Ramirez won the $200
scholarship with his essay on how God has touched his life. He
was also judged on his involvement in the community. He

scholarship toward classes at Arizona State University. |
The response of Louis Rameriz
after receiving his award. "I would like to start off by
saying thank you for this opportunity to be the first recipient
of a scholarship in memory of Barbara Downing, I feel truly
blessed and honored by this recognition. If it wasn't for my
family and friends and God, I wouldn't be the person I am today
striving to be the best I can possibly be. I can’t express my
gratitude enough to The Faith Sister's as I take my next step in
life to further my education in college. Please pray that God
lead me in the right direction to a successful future. God
Bless. Louie" |
